Show Me the Money!

This week in Maths we are learning how to identify NZ coins and notes.  We have been taking turns in the class shop.

Eggs in a Nest!

Today India brought in a birds nest that she found at her house.  It gave us inspiration for our writing .

Ready for an Emergency!

We have been busy practicing what to do in the event of an emergency.  On Friday we practiced our Earthquake Drill.
First we went under the tables and got into a turtle position.

Not like that India!  You will bump your head!

We waited for the teacher to tell us it was safe to come out and then we lined up sensibly.

The teacher led us outside to the School Meeting Area.

Not even any time for shoes and socks!

Mrs Forsyth checking that everyone is accounted for.

Back inside Aliana tells us to "Stay away from the windows if there is an earthquake!"

We did a colouring competition about being prepared for emergencies.

Great work Denys!

Ashley is proud of her colouring!
