Look at our four clever children receiving class awards today. Well done Aliana, Kylah, Felix and Kieran!
Welcome to Room 7/8's blog. We have 19 wonderful year 1 children in our classroom. We think we are super lucky because we have two teachers! Mrs Forsyth teaches us in the morning and in the afternoons Mrs Fairweather teaches us while Mrs Forsyth takes Reading Recovery. Our lovely teacher aides Jody and Ameena help us too! Thanks for visiting our blog...we would love you to leave a comment.

Ready for an Emergency!
We have been busy practicing what to do in the event of an emergency. On Friday we practiced our Earthquake Drill.
First we went under the tables and got into a turtle position. |
Not like that India! You will bump your head! |
We waited for the teacher to tell us it was safe to come out and then we lined up sensibly. |
The teacher led us outside to the School Meeting Area. |
Not even any time for shoes and socks! |
Mrs Forsyth checking that everyone is accounted for. |
Back inside Aliana tells us to "Stay away from the windows if there is an earthquake!" |
We did a colouring competition about being prepared for emergencies. |
Great work Denys! |
Ashley is proud of her colouring! |
