This Week's Principal's Awards

Well done Morris and Jed for being awarded our awards in assembly this week! You are both making super progress in your reading. Ka pai!!! Jed was also one of the lucky subway lunch winners - that's 4 weeks in a row for room 7/8!

St John's Visit

On Wednesday we were so lucky to have Nichola and Jeff from St Johns come to talk to us and show us through their ambulances.  We are learning about our local heroes - how and why people in our community help us.

Thank you so much for coming to talk to us Nic and Jeff and thank you to all the wonderful St Johns volunteers who help us in our community.

Writing about the frost

After our walk this morning some of the children wrote about the frost.

Frosty morning walk

This morning we decided to go for a walk and look for some crisp frosty grass. The children had lots of fun standing on it and touching it.

Pirate and Princess Day

Room 7 and 8 had an awesome Pirate and Princess Day.  A big thank you to Lorraine for making

pikelets and the Lindblom family for making Pumpkin Pies, Yum Yum!!!!

Award winners this week

Blaize French and Conrad Lindblom were this week's winners of the Principals Award.  Room 7/8 was lucky again with Blaize winning the Subway voucher.

Class Awards - Friday 15th May

The class awards went to Zac Donaldson and Porsha Carey - Congratulations Zac and Porsha you both have been working really hard in class, Porsha was also the lucky winner of the Subway voucher,

Autumn leaves

We have been doing some art and writing around the theme of autumn leaves... Come  and check out some of our cool poems in the classroom.  

Today we began making our 'block' to do some printmaking.  We began by looking closely at our leaves and then drawing what we could see.  Next we started to glue the string on to our blocks so that next week hopefully we might start making some prints from them.  If you I are able to help us finish these off, we would love for some parent help from around 1.30pm tomorrow.

Year 8 helpers

Today we had some extra helpers in room 7/8. They were very helpful all day but especially at maths time as they helped with each group with their group baskets.
