This Week in Maths...

Dear Family and Whānau,

This week in maths we are studying position and direction. Encourage your child to use language such as over, under, left, right high low, near, far to describe where objects are in relation to each other. Ask your child to describe the path they would follow to get from one end of the garden to their room. Ask them to describe the route they take to get to a friend's house.

The New Kid!

Aliana's family very kindly brought their new baby goat in on Friday for a visit.  We all enjoyed meeting the newest addition to the Russ family.

Our New Classroom

This morning we walked to our old classroom to see the progress being made. We heard lots of hammering and sanding. We can't wait to see what it's going to look like when it's finished.

Book Fair

Westport South is having a book fair in our library. All profit made will go towards buying new library books.

We've moved!

On Monday we moved to the hall for two weeks while our classroom is having new carpet laid. We are also getting new wall coverings and a new sliding door.
